QUESTIONS

Sometimes I ask
”Why am I here?”
Want is the answer?
It is not clear.

Sometimes I ask
”What is my fate?”
What is the answer?
I just have to wait.

Sometimes I ask
”Why do I live?”
What is the answer
No one can give?

Sometimes I ask
”Why me? Why me?”
What is the answer?
I can’t really see.

But for all of my asking

I still do not know
Why I came to be here
And where will I go?

And as I sat listening
the answer to hear,
All of a sudden
It became very clear.

After my stay here
is over and done
I will go home.
And with spirit, be one.

THE RIVER

The river passes cliffs and hills.

The mountains and the plains
And as it goes it multiplies
and even more it gains

‘until it grows to such a size
it barely keeps  within
its banks. And rushes on
as if a race to win.

And finally it finds a place
Where it is really free

And leaves the confines of its banks
And  thunders to the sea

And I am like the river
Flowing to the sea
And everything that I pass by
Becomes a part of me

Just as the raging river
I gather as I go
The lessons that I have to learn
And all the things I know

Until one day at last I find
That I am also free
And like the mighty river
Rushing to the sea

I leave my worldly woes behind
And burst into a song
For  as I cross the rainbow bridge
I know where I belong.

The Butcherbird

I listened in the silent dawn and heard
The heavenly singing of the butcherbird.
His song is “other worldly” and so clear,
and yet, there’s more than does at first appear.
For though he sings with beauty and with pride,

There is, alas, a somewhat darker side.

In one smooth swoop he plucks a chirping chick
From out another’s nest, so cool, so quick.
Killed! He hangs it in the nearest tree
And plucks its feathers then, for all to see.

But this is nature, “red in tooth and claw,”
And so, can we then ask for any more
Of life? Confined here in our duality,
Can we be any better then than he,
Who sings us such a pure and perfect song,
Then kills, and knows he’s done no awful wrong?.

THE BROKEN WAND.

While strolling by the garden pond,
I heard a plaintive sound.
I looked beneath a green fern frond,
A fairy there I found.

Why are you weeping fairy friend
beneath this feathered frond?
There is a spell I cannot send,
I have a broken wand.

I cannot do my magic now,
I tried but always fail.
I want to send some spells somehow,
But all to no avail.

Well, we had better mend it then.
I’ll see what I can do.
I’ll hold it in my hand, and when
I give it back to you

It should be whole and ready
for you to cast your spell.
Just hold it good and steady
And all should then be well.

Now when I go to  wander
beside the garden pond,
I see the fairy,  happy there
Waving her magic wand.

What beauty in the flowers to behold!
What colours! Some are pale and some are bold.
What fairies live within? What elves, what sprites
What spirits of the flowers? With great insights
They view the world around them with clear eyes.
They know the sunlight and the blue of skies
are nothing like that seen by human eyes.

My Poems

I like to write poetry.
Here are a few of my poems
Enjoy !!
                           ASTRAL TRAVEL

My soul and I flew to the astral realm.
We ventured forth with angels at the helm.
We left this mundane earthly life behind,
and went away to see what we could find.

We passed the moon, the stars and outer space
and finally we looked Source in the face
and stood before it, and all truth was there
for us to see, to know, to keep, to share.

In realms divine beyond the blazing sun
we learned that all creation is but one,
A single aspect of the perfect whole.
And so we were combined , me and my soul.

Back we flew to old familiar earth,

My soul and I, united in re-birth .
All thought of separation now is gone.

We two are one, and will be from now on.
